Celebrate winter this month at open-air, music venue Abbots Yard. Over one exciting weekend, this inner-city space will transform into a neon-lit dreamscape. Expect plenty of fiery live entertainment, hot winter food, mulled wine and live music. Fire & Wine Weekender is coming to Abbots Yard, in collaboration with the City of Yarra, on Saturday July 16 and Sunday July 17.
Fire & Wine Weekender at Abbots Yard
This smouldering weekend is all about celebrating the chaotic and the wild. Expect fire twirlers, barrels of mulled wine, steaming cider and warming cocktails. Feast on some hot winter favourites from local food trucks, like Greek doughnuts from St Gerry’s, crepes from Crêpes for Change and woodfired pizza from Puccia.
During the event, you’ll listen to modern jazz, soul and nu-jazz. Headlining the first night is local jazz band, The Rookies. They will be supported by O Honey, DJ Friday and PBSFM’s Mike Gurrieri.
Then, on the second night, listen to six-piece instrumental outfit Cofi serve up an electrifying set of acid jazz, house and breakbeat. They will be supported by Roth|Zimmer, fivefours, Genki Tanaka, Pietro, Bec Bartlett and Kgomotso.
