Alcotraz combines a cocktail bar with an interactive theatre experience, to give guests an exciting adventure behind bars. Opening on June 28 2024 at 592 Elizabeth Street, Alcotraz will transport you to the prohibition era where you will need to smuggle in your liquor and make your way past the prison guards. Alcotraz is not your average cocktail bar, it’s a completely immersive prison adventure. You’ll be entering a bar behind bars, where the inmates are your bartenders, the guards are crooked and you become part of the story. Put on the provided orange jumpsuit and decide whether you’ll be keeping your head down on the inside, or joining one of the bootlegging gangs’ illegal operations.
Hand over the liquor you’ve smuggled in to your fellow inmates, and receive up to four cocktails personalised to your tastes. Enjoy your drinks as you get to know the various characters who are in the cells with you and learn more about the story that surrounds Alcotraz. Perhaps you’ll even befriend a warden or two?
Tickets for this interactive cocktail experience start at $63 and inmates need to be 18 years or older. Each ticket includes 1h45 inside Alcotraz as well as four cocktails using the liquor you smuggle in. Make sure you get your tickets soon to secure your spot behind bars.
