Australia’s first immersive, trick-art gallery has been covered with over 1000 litres of paint by fifteen artists who have spent 800 hours producing 80 artworks. The end result is a journey through 1400 square metres where visitors can interact with the art and capture the spectacular illusions created with just the right perspective.
And a camera too since these are some shots you have to see to believe.

Visitors to ArtVo at The District in Docklands will be able to enter into polar worlds, where they can jump from floating iceberg to iceberg, as well as pretend they are performing in a circus, surfing the seven seas and appear as if they are trapped in a jar to name just a few of the illusions they will encounter.
The murals are huge, larger-than-life, and allow people of all ages to come face to face with lions, polar bears, dolphins, pandas and elephants. You can even pretend your life is in danger as you are holding onto the ledge with only a freefall beneath you.
There are nine themed zones to explore with a new Fantasy theme spanning the entire gallery and including trips into space and the forest. Museum staff will always be on hand to encourage you to take photo after photo after photo. And if you need a hand, they’ll be there to make sure you and your entire crew appear as if you’re floating down the river.
How you experience the interactive artworks is purely up to your imagination. What will you be able to come up with?
ArtVo is open daily from 10am to 4pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends. Last admittance is one hour prior to closing.
