After a sell-out event last year, the biennial Avalon Australian International Airshow is coming back to town. Stretching out over 75 hectares at Avalon Airport, this massive event will feature plenty of thrilling civil and military flying performances, as well as on-ground displays, carnival rides and more. This exciting event will be open to the public from Friday March 28 to Sunday March 30.
Avalon Australian International Airshow
This experience is the largest international airshow in Australia. And it’s not just for fans of aviation. If you’re a history buff or if you’re looking for a fun day out with the family, this massive airshow is a cool place to check out.
Turn your eyes to the skies and watch as planes roll, loop and zoom through the air. Public viewing will return to the flight line, so you can get close enough to feel the rumble. Meanwhile, on the ground, you’ll also see historic warbirds, commercial jets, emergency response helicopters, military aircraft and more. Around 370 aircraft are expected to be on display.
There’s also a fun range of entertainment for the whole family. Get a great view on the Ferris wheel and enjoy other carnival rides, look out for roaming entertainment and see live performances and interactive shows on the Avalon Stage. Get immersed with flight simulators and VR headsets, and learn more about pathways to become a pilot. On Friday, stick around for an evening performance that features aircraft, parachutists, pyrotechnics and more.
