Balloon Story has brought its imaginative balloon wonderland to Melbourne, a vibrant, larger-than-life world built from over 400,000 biodegradable balloons, shaped and arranged by 200+ international artists. This limited-time pop-up blends creativity, craftsmanship, and immersive design to create an experience that feels both playful and truly original. With giant sculptures, themed rooms, and interactive art installations, it’s a place where curiosity is rewarded at every turn. Get your tickets now before the experience closes this April 22nd!
📢 Plus, if you’re heading along on Wednesday 22nd, you’re in for a slightly different (and very satisfying) twist on the Balloon Story experience. You’ll get about an hour to wander through the dreamy, balloon-filled rooms and soak it all in—photos, colours, the whole whimsical vibe—before things take a turn for the chaotic in the best way. At the end, it’s time to pop everything. Guests are handed a popping kit complete with safety goggles, a pin and earplugs, so you can go all in without holding back. Just keep in mind this session is for kids aged seven and up only, so no little ones under that age will be able to join in. 📢

Every space inside Balloon Story is designed for exploration, whether it’s navigating balloon mazes, wandering through immersive environments, or discovering photo-ready corners that feel straight out of a dream. Visitors of all ages will find something to enjoy. There are hands-on moments for families, artistic surprises for design lovers, and plenty of unexpected scenes that make the experience memorable long after you leave.
What sets Balloon Story apart is its commitment to both artistry and sustainability. All sculptures are crafted from natural latex balloons, offering an eco-conscious approach to large-scale installation art. The result is a space filled with color, movement, and imagination, without compromising environmental responsibility. With so much to see and only a brief window to experience it, this Melbourne debut is shaping up to be one of the city’s most distinctive and talked-about events.
