Ever been curious about what truly happens beneath the surface? How our bodies breathe, move, think, feel and connect? BODY WORLDS invites you to find out. Developed by Dr. Gunther von Hagens and Dr. Angelina Whalley, this globally renowned exhibition showcases real human bodies preserved through the revolutionary plastination process. What you’ll see is both confronting and beautiful: an intimate look at the human body’s strength, vulnerability and intricate design, captured in lifelike, expressive poses. It’s equal parts science exhibition, art installation and emotional experience.
Inside, you’ll encounter full-body plastinates frozen in motion, offering an extraordinary view of muscles, organs and connective tissue; translucent body slices that reveal the body’s inner architecture; the interactive Anatomical Mirror that projects your internal organs onto your reflection; and themed sections exploring brain and heart health, movement, foetal development and more. This edition also places a spotlight on happiness, examining how emotions and mindset can physically influence the body from the inside out.

BODY WORLDS: The Anatomy of Happiness is an experience that stays with you long after you leave. We all know that lifestyle choices affect our health, but seeing the evidence in real human bodies is something else entirely. Visitors often walk away with a deeper respect for what their bodies can do, and a fresh perspective on caring for them. Whether you’re a science enthusiast, an art lover, or simply curious about how you’re built, this exhibition offers something truly unique.
Note: All specimens featured in the exhibition were generously donated for scientific and educational purposes through a formal donor program run by Dr. von Hagens’ Institute for Plastination. More than 23,000 people worldwide have chosen to make this meaningful contribution, allowing BODY WORLDS to exist.
