After delighting us just a couple of months ago at Revolver, Book Doof is once again taking over an exciting venue in Melbourne. This time, they’re bringing their reading rave to an iconic container bar in a city laneway. Grab a book, drop by this buzzing venue, and turn the pages while listening to ambient music. Find Book Doof at Section 8 this weekend, on Sunday, August 2. It’s open to walk-ins only, so you don’t have to worry about missing out.

Book Doof at Section 8
Come alone, or with a friend, and spend the hours reading amongst strangers. Perfect for introverts and neurodivergent people, Book Doof allows you to hang out in a social space, without feeling the pressures of a high-energy gathering. You’re welcome to read, or try other chill activities like drawing, painting or journaling.
The music is designed for reading, so you won’t get distracted. It’s best to bring your own book, but you turn up empty-handed, there is a small stash of books for you to borrow. Merch will also be available for purchase.
If you need a break, you can grab a drink from the bar. There will also be cosy spots for socialising and making new friends if you feel like having a chat. Just make sure to read the vibes, so you’re not interfering with anyone else’s experience.
