Ormond Collective was created in 2017 by Big Group, a group of hospitalitarians that create and organise events. They reinvented and refurbished the current space, which dates back to 1891, while maintaining its old charm and vintage features. The venue’s highlights include polished timber floors, lead glass windows, ornate balconies and iron balustrades. Ormond Collective consists of bars, restaurants, gardens, ball rooms and other spaces, all of which can be used for your next party.
Fitzroy Town Hall: a fine example of classical Victorian design
Situated in Melbourne’s Fitzroy suburb, Fitzroy’s town hall was constructed in two stages. The hall wing and a tower were built in 1873 and new municipal offices, a library, court house and police station were added between 1887 and 1890. It showcases Free Classical Victorian architecture and it’s frequently used for celebrations of special occasions, including balls and Candlelight concerts.
