This historic performing arts venue is great for concerts because of its amazing acoustics, intimate atmosphere and versatile performance spaces. Built in 1839, the Athenaeum Theatre has a long history of hosting cultural events. Located in the heart of Melbourne, its Theatre 2 space can accommodate up to 150 people, ideal for intimate Candlelight performances.

Built in 1920 and located in the St Kilda neighborhood of Melbourne, this theatre has since become a landmark of the local community. The country’s and world’s hottest actors and performers have set foot on its stage in thousands of theatre productions, musicals, concerts and comedy shows. And this season it hosts a series of classical music concerts and ballet performed under the warm glow of hundreds of candles.
Built in 1887, Melbourne Town Hall is one of the most significant landmarks in the city. The venue is located in Melbourne’s central business district and is at the heart of the city’s civic and cultural activity. The impressive structure is built with bluestone and Tasmanian freestone and is also home to a large auditorium which will be hosting these enchanting Candlelight concerts.
A civic building in Abbotsford, the Collingwood Town Hall opened in 1887 and was refurbished in the Art Deco style in 1938. The grand setting boasts a Main Hall that can accommodate up to 800 people and a balcony up to 300 people. This stunning venue has hosted cocktail parties and more.
Ormond Collective was created in 2017 by Big Group, a group of hospitalitarians that create and organise events. They reinvented and refurbished the current space, which dates back to 1891, while maintaining its old charm and vintage features. The venue’s highlights include polished timber floors, lead glass windows, ornate balconies and iron balustrades. Ormond Collective consists of bars, restaurants, gardens, ball rooms and other spaces, all of which can be used for your next party.
Situated in Melbourne’s Fitzroy suburb, Fitzroy’s town hall was constructed in two stages. The hall wing and a tower were built in 1873 and new municipal offices, a library, court house and police station were added between 1887 and 1890. It showcases Free Classical Victorian architecture and it’s frequently used for celebrations of special occasions, including balls and Candlelight concerts.
Located a stone’s throw from Edinburgh Gardens, 75 Reid Street is a fabulous venue that is home to a stunning auditorium. This large dynamic space has hosted a range of events including concerts, exhibitions, conferences and yoga sessions.
