Snuggle up with the sweetest cats around for a truly fur-tastic Christmas.
Cat Cuddling Sessions at Cat Protection Society of Victoria
What’s involved in a cat cuddling session?
A session fits two adults and two children, or one adult and three children, into a snuggly, sweet 30-minute cuddle experience. It includes:
- A VIP Meet and Greet – where a Cat Protection Society staff member will determine the most suitable cat or kitten to play with
- A short tour of the shelter
- A cat cuddling session in the enrichment room, where you’ll meet some kittens and cats waiting for adoption and snuggles
- A hot chocolate or coffee voucher at the café
“Now that Melburnians have come out of lockdown, they’re craving connection and cuddles, and what better way to feel connected than through the super power of a cat,” said Rachel Bitzilis, Marketing and Communications Manger at the Cat Protection Society of Victoria.
“Simply spending time petting cats can help reduce blood pressure and stress levels, and stimulate the release of feel-good hormones including serotonin and oxytocin, so our Cat Cuddling VIP sessions are the purrfect gift for people who cannot have a pet at home, or might be feeling a little lonely at this time of year,” she added.
The cat cuddling sessions aren’t just good for the humans – they’re good for the cats too. These sessions will provide interaction and affection, so that they become well socialised and prepared for adoption into their forever home.
One cat cuddling gift voucher costs $25. All proceeds will go towards helping the cat shelter continue their good work in caring and rehoming cats in need.
