A magnificent immersive dining experience is making its world premiere outside of France, right here in Melbourne. Taking over the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for one night only, the Château Merveilles will whisk you away on a journey that celebrates French culture and cuisine. Set within over 3,000 square metres of immersive projection space, this experience will take you to Versailles, the Louvres and more, while you wine and dine on a four-course menu. This multi-sensory experience will take place on Thursday, October 22.

This experience will make its international debut in Melbourne, thanks to our city’s reputation for gastronomy, arts and major events, as well as appreciation of French culture. In this 360-degree experience, the space will come alive with massive projections, cinematic storytelling and sound design. Feel like you’re dining in beautiful and famous spaces, like Musée d’Orsay or castles in the Loire Valley.
While you admire the projections, tuck into a delicious four-course menu, complemented by French champagne and wine pairings. French-born chef Guillaume Brahimi (Bistro Guillaume), has designed the menu for the evening. He will be joined by Melbourne-based pastry chef Pierrick Boyer (Reverie Cafe) and Sydney-based rising pastry talent Quentin Zerr (Qollection Patisserie).
Capable of fitting over 1,000 guests, this event is one of the largest immersive gastronomic experiences ever created. This price tag is hefty, at $658 per person, but it is a lot cheaper than booking a flight to Paris.
A portion of the proceeds will support the French Australian Cultural Exchange Foundation (FACEF), the first binational philanthropic foundation dedicated to promoting cultural and intellectual exchange between Australia and France.
