It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas because the official weather forecast is in and it’s looking promising. And although Melbourne’s weather is notoriously chaotic, at this stage, we can look forward to a warm Christmas Day. December predictions are based on many factors, including the active El Niño and positive Indian Ocean Dipole events, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Melbourne
Melburnians will get a break from their soggy summer so far with a warm and pleasant Christmas. Temperatures are expected to sit at a top of 26 degrees. It’s also looking to be a bit windy, and partially sunny, with cloud cover sitting at 48 per cent. Meanwhile, Boxing Day is predicted to be cloudy, and once again reach a top of 26 degrees. Sydney
At the moment, Sydneysiders will have a a warm, yet cloudy Christmas, with AccuWeather predicting 27 degrees on Christmas Day. Showers are expected later in the day. Boxing Day will reach a top of 27 degrees, with clouds and a little rain in the afternoon.
