What about supermarkets?
Coles, Woolworths and Aldi are all open for last minute shopping on Christmas Eve. But, you better triple check your list before you leave, because these three supermarkets will all be closed on Christmas Day. IGA stores are all independently owned, so you’ll need to check your local to see if they’re open.
If you forgot the champagne, select BWS and Dan Murphy’s stores will be open on Christmas Day.
Other types of shops
Most convenience stores and petrol stations like 7-Eleven and BP should be open on Christmas Day. Most chemists like Priceline and Chemist Warehouse will be closed on Christmas Day, with a select few stores open, like the Chemist Discount Centre in Craigieburn or Mount’s Pharmacy in Ivanhoe.
