After thrilling audiences with shows like LUZIA and Corteo, Cirque du Soleil is coming back to Melbourne with KOOZA. Witness death-defying acrobatics, hilarious clowning and whimsical characters under the Big Top. The production is doing an Australian tour next year, starting with Melbourne in May, and followed by shows in Sydney and Brisbane. Find it at Flemington Racecourse from May 20, 2026. Tickets are on sale now.

KOOZA by Cirque du Soleil
Since its debut in 2007, KOOZA has been seen by almost 8 million spectators, with over 5,000 performances in over 70 cities across 23 countries. The show is about human connection and the duality of the world. It celebrates the art of clowning, with a range of fun characters that don’t take themselves too seriously.

It is also one of Cirque du Soleil’s most daring touring productions, with high wire stunts, aerial silks, and the Wheel of Death. The 1,600 pound wheel rotates at high speeds, powered by just two artists who leap and counter-rotate in a fearless display of acrobatics and teamwork. Other stunts include the Teeterboard, which flings artists into the air as they perform multiple twisting somersaults, and the Charivari, which features human pyramids and daring dives.
The show features a live score, with music inspired by western pop culture, like 1970s funk and full orchestral arrangements. It also draws from traditional Indian music, and film scores from the 1940s and ’50s. It’s performed live by six musicians and two singers each night.
There’s over 175 costumes to admire, and colourful sets on a circular stage. To learn more about the show, click here.
