Attention Thrill Seekers, You Can Now Picnic While Hanging Off The Side Of A Cliff

Picnic at heights of 300 metres!

Finding the perfect picnic spot is not as easy as it seems. There’s much to take into account like picnic tables, grassy space, walking tracks in the area and if there are any free barbecues to use. And when you do find your perfect picnic spot, you often have to compete for space because everybody else has been in on your recent find for quite some time. (Featured image: dutchy_42)

That’s all fair game when it comes to your traditional picnic grounds, but if you’re after something a little (okay, a lot) different where you won’t need to be battling for space with strangers, then Bright Adventure Company has got the goods for you—but only if you’re not afraid of heights because this is unlike any other picnic spot you have been to.

Hanging off the side of a cliff is a truly unique experience, only really experienced by rock climbers on a multi-day climb where they rest up for another gruelling day of climbing. But now, thanks to BAC’s Cliff Picnics, you can experience what it’s like to hang off the side of a mountain too.

Cliff Picnics are as secluded as can be since you’ll be suspended and hanging off the Mount Buffalo cliff face with your friend, lover, or picnic partner. From your prime position, you will have pristine views of Mount Buffalo National Park—the jewel in Victoria’s high country—and be treated to a selection of local produce brought down to you in a hamper.

Your one-of-a-kind picnic experience lasts for three hours with special lunch, dinner and sunrise packages available to take your picnic to the next level. If you’re more a foursome than a couple, BAC can set up two suspended ledges side-by-side so that you all can share in the moment.

The Cliff Picnic experience for two people costs $449.
