El Camino Cantina is all about the Margaritas. But, it’s their own Tex-Mex style made with tequila, Triple Sec and a heap of lime juice. Apparently, there’s a secret element in there as well, which we wholeheartedly believe because these life-altering concoctions have a cult following around the country. They’ve also got their own festival—Ritapalooza—that’s kicking off on Sunday 24 October until November 20.
Diners at the Fitzroy venue will be able to get their hands on up to 25-limited edition flavours. Served on the rocks or in El Camino Cantina’s famed frozen blend, there’s a bunch of joyous flavours to wet your whistle, from Hubba Bubba to Lifesaver, Skittle to Wizz Fizz and more. There’s a high chance that if you’ve eaten it as a kid, you’re probably going to find it in a Margarita flavour at El Camino Cantina.
For those keen on taste-testing them all, the Ritas will be available tasting paddles, either four-flavour paddles or the substantially larger metre-long paddle loaded up with 13 Rita flavours. As usual, the Ritas will be available in two-litre towers as well as three-litre balloons.
El Camino Cantina also does food and to keep you going without breaking the bank, you’ll still be able to take advantage of the $2 tacos on Tuesdays, the ten-cent Wing Wednesday special and Thursday’s half-price fajitas. And, if a fiesta is what you’re after, then you can’t go past the Palooza Party Package. It includes a three-course menu plus two hours of drinks.
