This February, Fed Square welcomes this completely free Candlelight concert featuring spectacular performances from Budjerah, a super talented up-and-coming pop star from New South Wales.
The Candlelight concert series has dazzled audiences in Melbourne and over 100 other cities across the world with its signature sea of candles and live music performances. This month, Fed Square continues to light up for these magical concerts, this time to host this unforgettable evening starring one of Australia’s most exciting talents.
With a sea of twinkling candles in tow, this spectacular Candlelight concert starring the award-winning Coodjinburra singer Budjerah (pictured above) will be lighting up Fed Square on 15 February. For hundreds of years, the square has been a popular meeting spot for First Peoples, and continues to be a place where locals come together to enjoy exhibitions, celebrations and live music concerts including the stunning Candlelight series.
Born and raised in Fingal Head, NSW, Budjerah is best known for his breakaway single “Therapy” which has amassed over 13 million Spotify streams since its release in early 2023. The rising star already has multiple accolades under his belt, including the 2023 Artist of the Year Award at the National Indigenous Music Awards. This month, he’ll be wowing audiences with his incredible talents and energy on a stage illuminated by thousands of candles, and it’s sure to be a performance worth seeing.
