Cheer on the Matildas and have some fun at this incredible festival. The month-long celebration includes performances from Indigenous Australian singer Sycco, Australian singer-songwriter Samantha Jade and entertainment from DJs, vocalists, drummers, dancers, buskers and football tricksters. Then, check out a panel discussion featuring former, capped and future Matildas.
Head to the Our Game Hub for interactive experiences, including a penalty shootout simulator, a reaction goalkeeper game and trivia quizzes. There’s heaps of bean bags for you to settle in and get comfy, as well as face painting on select days and times. Then, pop into The Atrium and let the kids have fun with a sustainable craft workshop, where they’ll build their very own football.
As for food, there will be a rotating variety of food trucks, serving up treats inspired by the competing nations on the day. There’s also a licensed bar area on site, so you can enjoy beer, wine, premix or non-alcoholic option during the game.
The festival will run on select days between Thursday July 20 to Sunday August 20. For more details, dates and times, click here.
