After two years of postponements, Flavour Fest is finally coming back to Melbourne’s west. This exciting food and music festival will feature a delicious array of food, live music from some of Australia’s favourite bands, cooking demonstrations, a Ferris wheel and much more. Flavour Fest will take place at Frontier Park in Aintree on Saturday October 22, from 12pm to 9pm.
Flavour Fest
Start the day by sinking your teeth into some delicious food. Check out the vast array of food trucks, and wander through ‘Sweet Alley’, a dedicated dessert zone that will make every sweet tooth salivate. If you’re over 18, hop over to the ‘Brew Zone’. Discover a showcase of boutique brewers, wine distillers and artisan spirits, including Two Birds Brewing, Daylesford Cidery, Larrakin Gin and Prosecco Van.
After that, check out live cooking demonstrations from famous Australian chefs, including Sashi Cheliah, Sarah Todd, Tom Sarafian and Adam D’Sylva.
Flavour Fest has partnered with Free to Feed, a social enterprise that creates employment opportunities for refugees and those seeking asylum through the creation of shared food experiences. As a result of this partnership, there will be a three cooking workshops during the day. These workshops have a limited number of spaces, so you’ll need to book a spot.
“Flavour Fest is a chance for residents to celebrate what they love about where they live and for visitors to get a taste of what the west has to offer,” said City of Melton Mayor Cr Goran Kesic. “Now only is this going to be a fantastic day out for everyone, but it’s an opportunity to highlight and support some of the west’s amazing boutique food businesses, wineries and breweries, as well as some of the talented artists that call the west home.”
Music and activities
The music will kick off on the main stage from 4pm. Listen to the sweet tunes of artists like The Vanns, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Kyle Lionheart and Clews. Indie rock band Holy Holy will headline the festival, and end the evening with a bang.

Check out some free crafts and interactive experiences. The event will end with a grand finale, a spectacular fireworks display that will leave you feeling dazzled.
