Back by popular demand, Candlelight at Fed Square returns to Melbourne with three free concerts under the stars. From 10–12 February, this open-air celebration open to all ages will feature free live music by Naarm folk artists, rising First Nations soul/R&B performer and one of Australia’s most decorated pop vocalists—alongside a mesmerising sea of flickering candles, of course!
Candlelight at Fed Square: Who is performing?

Tue 10 Feb – Folk Bitch Trio
Kicking off the series is Melbourne’s own Folk Bitch Trio, known for their indie-folk sound and having shared stages with the likes of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Their debut studio album Now Would Be a Good Time was just nominated for four ARIA awards— Best Group, Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist, Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Independent Release. Their poetic songs and haunting harmonies match perfectly with the intimate candlelit setting, making opening night a concert you won’t want to miss.
Wed 11 Feb – Dean Brady
The Brisbane-born singer broke through with tracks like “Falling”, which spent multiple weeks on the National Indigenous Music Chart. He is a significant new First Nations voice, creating soulful and genre-blending songs that range from modern soul to R&B.
Thu 12 Feb – Tina Arena
The series reaches its grand finale with Australian pop royalty Tina Arena. With a remarkable career spanning decades and global acclaim thanks to her thirteen albums in both English and French, Arena’s performance amid a sea of twinkling candles is set to be a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and a great way to close one of Melbourne’s most loved Fed Square events.
