Update: The Dinner and Show with Comedy Magician Extraordinaire Johnny Balance has been rescheduled to Friday 10 June.
The Marquee Room at The Jacksons Hotel in Toorak is turning its attention to Friday nights with dinner and show packages for a fun night out with friends, family and anyone keen on a good time. Over the coming months they’ll be mixing up what takes to the stage but on Friday 10 June, magic is in the air as one of Australia’s funniest, stable and record-breaking magicians, Johnny Balance, takes to the stage.
Johnny Balance doesn’t just do magic, he works his magic on stage to entertain his audience with aplomb. They’re so at ease that men have unzipped flies and others have reenacted the famous pottery scene from Ghost. But that’s not all his charm, wit and enchantment can do. For one, the audience is always in stitches.
As magician, juggler and record-breaking balancer, Johnny Balance is always on point and ready to entertain, which he’s bound to do at the Marquee Room—especially when the audience gets in on the act to participate and pull cards out of who-knows-where.
Having worked cruise ships, appeared on live TV and wowed corporate crowds as well as the Cirque du Soleil VIP tent, Johnny Balance is a comedian-magician extraordinaire that will enchant your Friday night dinner and show. He’s also appeared on Ripley’s Believe It or Not comic for balancing 30 milk crates on his chin.
Just take a look at this video below and you’ll have an idea of what you’re in for with a night out with Johnny Balance and his mind-blowing magic tricks and balancing acts.

First, there’s the platter that comes loaded with vegan dips and pitta, wild mushroom arancini balls and a heap of french fries to pick at. It’s perfect for sharing.
On the other hand, you can also get your own main meal from a selection of dishes that include a panko-crumbed schnitzel, an all-beef patty burger with two types of cheese or an oven roasted-field mushroom burger for those keeping clear of meat. Wash any of these down with a glass of tap beer, house wine, bubbly or soft drink.
Tickets for the platter and drink option cost $85 while the main meal and drink choice will set you back $95.
