Good Beer Week is back for its tenth-anniversary edition.
Running from Friday, May 14 and culminating on Sunday, May 23 with the Great Australasian Beer Spectacular (GABS), among a whole host of other events, Good Beer Week makes a triumphant return. And though we don’t need a festival to drink beer—or bars or pubs as evidenced by last year—Good Beer Week holds a special place in our festival calendar. (Featured image: @wilstewart3)
This year’s program is filled to the brim with awesome events. There’s the return of Wrestlerock at Moon Dog, Crab-a-palooza at Miss Katie’s Crab Shack as well as new events like A Story of Girl Power with Two Birds Brewing, which is a showing of Thelma & Louise at Sun Theatre.
There are so many great beer-centric events going on every day for the duration of Good Beer Week that it’s quite easy to forget that there are plenty that are free. So, here’s a handy little reminder of some of these which are taking place. Some of them all week long too.
Pint of Origin
Explore the world of beer at some of Melbourne’s best pubs and bars. From Australia’s states and territories as well as regional centres to countries around the globe like the USA, UK and New Zealand, Pint of Origin showcases the best brews the best way—tapping kegs.
