An interactive art installation by the award-winning studio, ENESS, is coming to Australia for the first time. Get ready to explore IWAGUMI AIR SCAPE, an immersive landscape dotted with inflatable rock forms that shimmer with light and sound. This free and family-friendly experience will land at Prahran Square. See it for yourself from Friday August 1 to Sunday August 17.

IWAGUMI AIR SCAPE by ENESS
This playful installation was inspired by the Japanese design philosophy of Iwagumi, which involves carefully placing stones to create a natural harmony. From afar, you might think that the pieces are ancient stone monoliths. But, they are really air-filled inflatables that invite you to consider the relationship between the wilderness and the modern, city environment. As you meander around the sculptures, you’ll feel the glow of a gentle light that evolves as the sun sets. You’ll also hear a soundscape inspired by nature.

“Rocks hold a special place in human culture,” said Nimrod Weis, Artist and Founder of ENESS. “Children collect them, artists are inspired by them, and ancient traditions revere them. IWAGUMI AIR SCAPE taps into that primal connection to earth and invites people right in the heart of the city to slow down, interact, and reconnect with awe.”
After admiring the installation, take a stroll along Chapel Street for a bite to eat, or browse through the nearby Prahran Market.
IWAGUMI AIR SCAPE will open daily, and light up from 5pm to 10pm. Learn more here.
