The two-time Grammy nominated girl group, KATSEYE, will play a free, one-off show in Melbourne! This pop-up performance will kick off Melbourne’s winter season, and will mark the group’s debut in Australia. The show will take place at Festival Hall on Friday, May 8. To have a chance at the free tickets, you will need to register before 5pm today, on Friday, May 1.

This surprise performance is presented by Visit Victoria’s ‘Melbourne. Every bit different’ campaign, in collaboration with American Express, Live Nation, HYBE and Geffen.
“Melbourne’s live music scene is one of the strongest in the world, and we’re proud to be KATSEYE’s choice for their only Australian public performance,” said Visit Victoria CEO Brendan McClements.
The show comes fresh off the back of their Coachella performance, and ahead of their third EP, WILD, which is set to release in August. It will take place a few days after their fan Q&A session in Sydney on May 6.
Made up of members Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung, this global girl group was formed through the competition reality show, The Debut: Dream Academy in 2023. The process behind this experience was made into the Netflix documentary, Popstar Academy.
In February, it was announced that Manon would be on a temporary hiatus “to focus on her health and wellbeing”. As a result, she did not perform at Coachella, and she was not present in their new release, Pinky Up.
How to get tickets to KATSEYE
You will need to register for tickets before 5pm today. The email address that you use to register must match the email on your Ticketmaster account, otherwise you won’t be able to join the queue. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster account, you will need to make one before you register.
Once you’ve registered, head to the Event Page on Ticketmaster from 9:45am on Tuesday, May 5. You’ll enter the Waiting Room, where you’ll need to log in to your Ticketmaster account. If you registered before the cut off time, you will be able to access the page. Then, at 10am, the sale will begin, and you will be placed randomly in the queue for a chance to score free tickets.
This show is expected to be in high demand, and tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. There will be a ticket limit of two per person.
Fans under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and may only enter unlicensed areas.
