In 2022, Loch Hart turns three when it should be turning five. However, the music, arts, comedy and camping festival has made it through to the other side and to celebrate they’re inviting you to experience the bliss, joy and wonder of their intimate gathering on an oceanside farm this January.
Accept the invite and bask in the ocean spray on a Great Ocean Road farm.
The multidisciplinary art festival, which welcomed back 85% of its guests for its second edition in 2019, will see 21 bands and artists as well as five comedians, a guest speaker, morning yoga sessions and storytelling performances across three sublime summer days. One thousand lucky people will once again get together to dance, sing and laugh in front of 180-degree ocean views. And one of them can be you.
Heading up the music lineup is Ausecuma Beats. Hailing from Senegal, Cuba, Mali, Guinea, Gambia and Australia, the nine-piece band will bring the rhythm to the Princetown hills while a DJ Set from Confidence Man will turn the farm into a pulsating dancefloor. Bad//Dreems will also be getting in on the act and tearing up the stage with their own style of rock.
The rest of the music lineup is just as diverse, throwing in a smattering of bands offering up something for everyone. It includes Donald’s House, Dorsal Fins, Go Dog Go, Holly Hebe, KYE, Libby Steel, Meraki Minds, Milo Eastwood (DJ), Stevie Jean, Sunnyside, Telenova, Flynn Gurry, Haiku Hands, Karate Boogaloo, Maxwell Brady, Mildlife, murmurmur, and Sandy Dish.
Comedians include Mark Samual Bonanno, Michelle Brasier, Fergus Neal, Sashi Perera and Tess Birch. This stellar lineup will be joined by guest speaker and entertainment industry veteran Peter Evans (Sunbury Rock Festival) as well as storytelling and live performers.
In true camping style, you’re welcome to BYO food and drink to the festival, although no glass or single-use plastics will be allowed. Some of the state’s best food trucks and market stalls will also be in attendance so you can pick up some gourmet eats or touch up your festival attire between trips to the onsite bar and festival stage.
And if you’re not going to sleep in your own tent, swag, car or caravan, Loch Hart has some pre-pitched premium camping accommodation sorted thanks to Under Sky. (Loch Hart Festival tickets do not include accommodation).
Loch Hart takes place from 14-16 January for three days and two nights of art, music and comedy on the Great Ocean Road.
Get your tickets to Loch Hart and find out what the perfect Great Ocean Road getaway is all about. You won’t enjoy another festival the same way ever again.
