It’s hard to believe, but Lune is turning 10 this year. That’s 10 years of delicious croissants and buttery pastries. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Lune Croissanterie is serving up a selection of their greatest hits every weekend in October. Each croissant will have transcended the ordinary in the past decade, to give you something truly heavenly. The first croissant on the line-up? Their Black Forest Croissant.
10th anniversary of Lune Croissanterie
The Black Forest Croissant featured in Season 11 of MasterChef during a Pressure Test episode. This croissant draws inspiration from black forest cake, and is baked with sweet cherry jam and chocolate frangipane. The croissant is then filled with rich chocolate mousse, whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Then, it’s topped with shavings of tempered chocolate and salted chocolate crumb.
The Black Forest Croissant will be available for a very limited release this weekend at Lune’s Fitzroy and Armadale stores. That’s Saturday October 1 and Sunday October 2.
If you miss out, don’t worry, there will be another wonderful flavour waiting for you next weekend.
Lune first opened as a little shop in Elwood, and has since become a world-renowned brand. Kate and Cam Reid have since opened up five stores, with a presence in both Melbourne and Brisbane. The milestone coincides with the release of Kate’s first cookbook, Lune Croissants: All Day, All Night. This cookbook is a celebration of all things croissants, from breakfast to dessert. It’s due for release in Australia at the start of November.
To keep an eye on the upcoming flavours this October, stay tuned to Lune’s Instagram. Remember, these milestone treats are only available in Fitzroy and Armadale.
