Tickets are now on sale for Maho Magic Bar, a Japanese themed pop-up bar featuring live magicians! You can look forward to magicians performing close-up magic at your bar table, while you enjoy delicious drinks. The venue is opening on September 15 in Chinatown, and is staying for a limited time only. After sold out shows in other cities across the country, this highly anticipated event is sure to sell out fast.
For the first time ever, Maho Magic Bar will set up shop in Melbourne’s Chinatown. Inspired by the magic bars in Japan’s nightlife districts, you will be transported to a neon-lit Tokyo night of mischief, amazement, cocktails and laughter. This bespoke traveling bar includes 8 of Japan’s leading close-up magicians and sleight-of-hand specialists. The group of magic masters promise to keep you in a state of disbelief throughout your stay.
The colourful venue will act as a portal into the realm of magic and impossibilities. Leave your beliefs of reality at the door, and prepare to be amazed. The intimate space gives you a unique opportunity to be inches from the action (and sometimes even closer!) and these magical masters perform right at your table.
While the magic around you dazzles the audience, you can order from an authentic Japanese drinks menu. The bar offers a range of both cocktails and mocktails to keep you hydrated throughout the show. Sip from a traditional cedar masu cup and enjoy the highest-grade Junmai Daiginjo sake as the antics of the evening unfold.
Tickets for this experience start at $59 and there are a variety of timeslots to choose from. Guests should be 12 years or older for the evening shows, and those under 18 years need to be accompanied by an adult. If you have young children the day time sessions on Saturdays at 3:00 pm and Sundays at 3:15 pm are for children 6 years and older. This is the perfect experience to enjoy with friends, and will definitely be a night to remember!
