Melbourne Design Fair
Curated by the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), and delivered in collaboration with Melbourne Art Foundation, this event showcases a vast collection of leading design from around Australia and the world. Discover emerging and established creators, learn about the latest trends, attend talks and more. Find collectible furniture, objects, lighting, ceramics, textiles and jewellery in one easy space.
While you’re there, see the NGV-curated exhibition, Focus. This puts a spotlight on five accomplished Australian female designers and makers: Emma Jackson, Nicolette Johnson, Paula Savage, Jessica Murtagh and Helen Britton. This exhibition recognises their skills and the importance of inspiring future generations of women to enter the design industry.
Another section, Discovery, is all about helping you find and purchase work from a new range of excellent designers and makers.
Melbourne Design Fair will also have a TALKS series from May 19 to 21. This program features leading designers and makers, gallerists, collectors and interior designers, who will share their knowledge and help you feel a greater sense of appreciation about the world of design.
