The iconic Melbourne Royal Show is coming back to town for another season of family fun. There’s hundreds of things to see and do, including a new LEGO pavilion, new farm experiences, an exciting illusion show, fireworks, showbags and more. Find it at Melbourne Showgrounds from Thursday September 25 to Sunday October 5. The Show will run from 9:30am to 9:30pm each day.

Round up your family and friends and head over to the Showgrounds for this quintessential Melbourne experience. There’s new attractions and activities for you to look forward to, as well as familiar favourites.
Lego Playland – Farm to City

The young and the young and heart will find plenty of free fun at this dedicated LEGO pavilion. There’s four different play zones to check out, including an exclusive DUPLO Farm for toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Animal fun

The Show will have over 6,000 animals onsite this year. Marvel at a massive 1000kg bull, see cows, alpacas, sheep and more.
Wander into the Sunrise Animal Nursery and pat, feed and cuddle adorable baby goats, lambs, piglets, chickens and more farmyard favourites.
Little ones can also check out the Little Farmers Field, where they’ll try to dig up veggies, collect eggs, feed baby animals and more.
Children can also collect pins on the Farm Animal Pin Trail, which will take them to see cows, sheep, horses, chickens, dogs and more.
Making its Australian debut this year is Night of the Horse. Feel the adrenaline as you watch incredible equine displays and never-before-seen, horse-centric performances.

You’ll find plenty to see if you’re a dog lover, with over 3,000 dogs competing in the All Breeds Championship Show, as well as action-packed outdoor demonstrations. Meanwhile, if you’ve got an oodle, why don’t you bring them along to the adorable Oodlemania competition. Celebrate groodles, labradoodles, cavoodles and more, with categories like Most Handsome, Cutest Puppy and Best Fancy Dress. Entries close on Friday August 29.

See world-renowned escape artist Sam Powers perform his most dazzling illusion yet. In Jaws Great Escape, he’ll hang upside down from three storeys high, and race against the clock to free himself before the jaws snap shut.
For more thrilling spectacles, check out the FMX Stunt Show, and watch skilled riders defy gravity with aerial tricks and daredevil moves.
Stick around after dark for a dazzling fireworks display that’s choregraphed to music.
Food and drink

This year, there’s over 84 different food outlets to explore, and every food truck will have one item available for $10 or under.
For an Aussie classic, swing by the Farmer’s BBQ from 11am to 2pm each day, and treat yourself to a $3.50 sausage sizzle. Proceeds from this easy lunch option will go towards supporting drought relief.
New vendors this year include Stix Waffles, LA Loops, Tennessee Wing Boys, Bahn Mi Runner, Son in Law and Ben & Jerry’s.
The Country Women’s Association (CWA) will return with their famous scones and other baked goods, preserves and breakfast classics.

Get your adrenaline pumping on one of the awesome rides, spread out across three carnival zones. You’ll find gentle rides like Cup & Saucer in the Kids section, fun for the whole family like dodgem cars in the Adventure Carnival, and heart-racing rides like the Skyflyer XXL in the Thrillseekers zone.
Head to Spotlight Makers Pavilion to see talented creators, crafters, painters and more. Shop for handcrafted products like jewellery and art prints.
