We love our coffee here in Melbourne, and if there’s one creative drink that you have to try, it’s the famous Mont Blanc at Good Measure. First created by this Carlton cafe in 2021, this viral drink has has seen many imitations over the years, both here in Australia and overseas. And if you haven’t tasted it yet, join the queue on Lygon Street and see just what the fuss is all about.
Mont Blanc from Good Measure
The three founders of Good Measure were inspired by coffee shops from Japan and Korea, and used their own coffee and cocktail experiences to create this signature drink. It’s built on a base of Code Black filter coffee, and lightly sweetened with dark sugar syrup. It’s topped with a layer of aerated cream, as well as fragrant nutmeg and freshly grated orange zest. On weekends, Good Measure serves over 1,000 of these drinks each day.
This timber-lined venue is a cafe by day, and a bar by night. When you’re not sipping on the Mont Blanc, try other yummy treats like strawberry shortcake, or indulge in one of their creative cocktails.
Good Measure is open daily from 8am, closing at 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11pm on all other nights. Espresso is served until 8pm. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to come along and join you in the courtyard.
