Moon Dog is almost ready to open their fourth ambitious venue, Moon Dog Doglands. This 2,021 square metre space will take over the Marvel Stadium concourse in Docklands, and act as a tropical escape from the city. The beer hall at Doglands will open on Saturday October 19, just before the Stray Kids show at Marvel. The beer hall will open from 3pm until late.
Over the next few weeks, The Jungle Room at Doglands will open with regular trading hours from Monday October 21. Doglands will also open from 4pm till late for the Travis Scott shows on Tuesday October 22 and Wednesday October 23. It will also open for the Coldplay shows, from Wednesday October 30 onwards.
Doglands by Moon Dog
Take a stroll around Doglands on a boardwalk lined with palm trees. At the centre of the venue, you’ll find a glowing 360-degree bar, serving up beers, seltzers, wine, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. Feel whisked away on a tropical holiday with drinks like a Jungle Spritz or a Volcano Bowl Negroni. On event days, sink your teeth into some tasty express pub meals. There’s also a mezzanine level, so that you can take in the view.
“We’ve all been down to a pub on Swan Street before or after a game at the ‘G but never really had that same experience around Marvel, so we’re really excited to be opening somewhere for mates to meet for a schooner and a feed!” said Moon Dog CEO and co-founder Joshua Uljans. “We wanted to create the same game-day atmosphere at Marvel Stadium, with a Moon Dog style twist, and Doglands does just that.”
While you’re there, don’t miss The Jungle Room, a 70-person terrace restaurant. This venue will be serving up lunch, dinner and drinks on a daily basis. Expect simple and seasonal dishes, with a light Mediterranean influence.
Doglands will open later this month on Marvel Stadium event days, as well as for functions. Meanwhile, The Jungle Room will be open every day. Check it out from Monday to Wednesday from 4-10pm, Thursday to Saturday from 12-11pm and on Sunday from 12-9pm.
Moon Dog currently has venues in Abbotsford, Preston and Footscray. On top of their plans for Docklands, the team have also set their sights on a future place by the sea in Frankston.
