The most popular baby names in Victoria for 2025 have been revealed, with Births, Deaths and Marriages recording over 350 Charlottes and over 500 Noahs. Last year, over 80,000 births were registered in the state. Both Charlotte and Noah have been popular names for over a decade, with Charlotte placing within the top 3 names for girls since 2012, and Noah in the top 5 boy names since 2015. Noah has ended Oliver’s 11-year reign in the top spot, and Charlotte has reclaimed her throne for the first time since 2022.
Lucy, Violet and Zoe moved up the rankings to secure a spot in the top 20, while Mila, Sophy and Chloe fell out, reaching 21, 22 and 28. Isaac and Max moved up into the top 20, while James and Xavier dropped to 27 and 33.
New names in the top 100 included Lainey for girls at 69 and Rory for boys at 77.
