Did you know there’s a week entirely devoted to the delicious Negroni cocktail? Yes, this beloved drink, made from Campari, gin and vermouth, is celebrated every year for one week in September. Not only that, but profits from Negroni Week are given to charitable causes, so you can drink and give back to the world at the same time. Over 12 thousand venues around the world participate in Negroni Week, and since starting in 2013, they have collectively raised over $3 million. Negroni Week, presented by Imbibe Magazine and Campari, runs from September 13 to September 19.

Here are some awesome bars and restaurants around Melbourne participating in Negroni Week. See individual websites to find out which charity they’re supporting.

1. Above Board from Smith Street

Above Board has created bottled cocktails for you to try at home. Grab a limited edition bottle of Negroni made with Tanqueray Ten gin, Campari, Italian Vermouth and House orange bitters. Pour it over ice, garnish it with an orange twist and you’re good to go!

2. Bar Clara on Little Bourke St

Enjoy a Negroni sample pack from Bar Clara. Get three 30ml twists of the cocktail, with gin from Anther Gin and Triple G Gin. Delivery is free across metropolitan Melbourne on Friday September 17. Otherwise, you can get it shipped to regional or interstate for an extra $10.

3. Brass Razu Cocktail Bar in Mornington

Brass Razu has five different Negronis available, not just for Negroni Week, but for the whole month of September. With alluring names like Spicy Negroni or Dark Night Negroni, you’ll be spoiled for choice all month long.

4. Jimmy Rum Distillery in Mornington

This distillery in Mornington is adding rum into the mix. Grab a Spice Up Your Rum Negroni Trio to try a classic rum Negroni, a smoked Negroni and a Negroni infused with chilli and coffee bean. You can also grab a Negroni on its own, or add a Negroni to any purchase from their Oaked range.

5. Mörk Chocolate in North Melbourne

Did you think about adding chocolate to the mix? Mörk certainly did. These chocolate specialists are selling two small-batch Mörk Chocolate Negronis along with two pieces of their twice baked chocolate cake. Perfect for sharing on date night.
