Here Are All The Movies And Series Dropping On Netflix Australia This February

For when it’s too hot to enjoy the outdoors.

On the off chance you’ve burned through all the movies, shows and documentaries on your Netflix to-watch list, the streaming giant has got us covered come February. (Featured image: @thibaultpenin)

Even if we do go out, dropping yourself back onto the couch with the aircon on after sweating buckets all day is like entering into the promised land. (Unless you’ve been at the beach and not slipped, slopped and slapped.)

Find here our pick of what’s coming to Netflix in February and, further down, everything else dropping throughout the month as well.

Parks & Recreation (S1-7), February 1

To this day Parks and Recreation has quite the cult following, and now, fans can watch it all over again from the beginning on Netflix. The show helped Chris Pratt transition from lovable funny man to Marvel hunk, with the likes of Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Nick Offerman and Retta also starring (to name a few). Parks and Recreation follows a woman who wishes to help a local nurse turn an abandoned construction site into a community park.

Malcolm & Marie, February 5

Starring John David Washington and Zendaya, Malcolm & Marie follows a couple as they discuss their past relationships after returning home from a movie premiere – a discussion that tests the strength of their relationship. The filming took place last summer when the pandemic was at its first peak, with the production team filming in only one location with just the two cast members.

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, February 10

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel is the latest true crime documentary to join Netflix’s ever-growing roster. The limited series uncovers the notorious disappearance of guest Elisa Lam – attempting to uncover exactly what happened that day. This particular case is shrouded in mystery and is one of the most talked-about disappearances in decades – mostly down to the fact that the evidence around the case is down-right bizarre.

To All The Boys: Always & Forever, February 12

Returning for a third chapter, fans of To All The Boys will get to say goodbye to Lara Jean and Peter – who’ll be forced to navigate their relationship as they consider their futures at college – with and without each other. The film will mark the third and final instalment for the franchise, taking us right to the end of the pairs time at high school.

Pelé, February 23

This legend of the world game needs no introduction but for football fans who have grown up on the modern-day rivalry of Messi and Ronaldo, this new documentary of the life of Pelé and the three World Cups he won, including one which was won during a turbulent period in Brazil, will show just how good this man was with a ball at his feet.

Rocketman, February 28

This biopic (or, better yet: biographical mucial) begins with Elton John (Taron Egerton) walking into a room wearing an orange jumpsuit. He joins a group of others sitting down and explains that he is a drug and sex addict, plus an alcoholic, and he wants to get better before it gets worse.
