Stretch and lengthen your body, then raise a glass of wine to the sky. Cheers.
A Pilates class might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but add a wine tasting and you’ve suddenly grabbed the attention of plenty more folk. And not just a wine-tasting either. At Pinot Pilates, you also get a bottle of wine to take home as well. (Featured image: pinotpilates)
On Sunday 16 May, Pinot Pilates returns to Port Melbourne Yacht Club for another special edition of their wine and pilates combo. This time around, the award-winning Yarra Valley winery, Tokar Estate, will be on hand to encourage participants through the series of exercises and make it through to the second half of the event.
First up, though, is the Pilates class led by Laura Roodhouse. The sixty-minute session will see you strengthen and lengthen your body while you breathe in and breathe out and concentrate, if you can, on the bottle of wine that will be your prize. You might even be asked to incorporate it into your poses.
Then, it’s time to taste Tokar Estate’s signature wines. But since you’ve just done a workout, you’re also going to be treated to a table of refreshments including grazing platters and seasonal fruits. Got to boost those minerals and nutrients.
Participants at Pinot Pilates will also take home a bottle of wine from Tokar Estate with a choice out of the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay or Rosé valued at $30. Now, that’s what we call incentive.
All equipment, mats and glassware will be provided at Port Melbourne Yacht Club which also boasts beautiful bayside views that’ll surely help take your mind your burning muscles. If not, just remember the mantra: wine, wine, wine…
Held on Sunday 16 May from 4-6pm, the two-hour Pilates and wine-tasting session costs just $105. Tickets available here.
