There’s a lot of stuff to eat and drink around W Melbourne this Valentine’s Day. Try their ‘Hearts A Mess’ interactive dessert, which features an edible rose that’s cracked over the dish before serving.
For a luxurious time out, head to Warabi for a 14-course omakase experience, complete with a cocktail on arrival and the ‘Hearts A Mess’ dessert to take home. The omakase is $395 per person.
For a more relaxed affair, wander over to Lollo for a four-course sharing menu. Enjoy dishes lobster & ricotta ravioli, Barolo-braised beef tenderloin and the ‘Hearts A Mess’ dessert. This meal is $120 per person.

Miilk Cake Studio has launched three limited-edition cakes in honour of Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year. Go for Sweet as Peaches, a vanilla sponge with fresh peaches and peach cream, Fifty Shades of Black, a decadent cheesecake souffle sponge with caviar and truffle cream, or Be My Valentine, a heart-shaped cake with pink strawberry sponge and floral lychee cream and jelly. 1 Hotel Melbourne has a couple of options for Valentine’s Day. Visit their hatted restaurant, From Here by Mike, for a candlelit dinner for two. Slow down over shared tasting plates, then choose either pork tomahawk or red mullet for the main. Finish things with a white chocolate dessert with berry compote, white strawberries and truffle, followed by heart macarons. This meal is $185 per person.
For a more relaxed option, unwind at Crane Bar & Lounge. Start with a cocktail, and graze on savoury egg tart, oysters, confit duck, beef skewers and more. This experience is $140 per person.
Byblós
