As the days get darker, Prahran Market is getting a little sinful with a season of gluttonous foodie experiences. In the Sin Series, each weekend at Prahran Market will be based on one of the Seven Deadly Seasons, culminating with a three-day roast festival over the winter solstice. It all kicks off this weekend on May 3, and will run until June 22.
Sin Series at Prahran Market
This will be Prahran Market’s first ever winter festival. Each weekend will feature plenty of delicious food, as well as music and entertainment related to the theme. Sloth, for example, will have gentle acoustic music, mulled wine and cosy romcoms playing on the screens, Gluttony will have a sausage-eating competition and Pride will celebrate with Drag Queen Bingo.
Here is the schedule:
- Gluttony – May 3 and 4
- Lust – May 10 and 11
- Greed – May 17 and 18
- Sloth – May 24 and 25
- Wrath – May 31 and June 1
- Envy – June 7 and 8
- Pride – June 14 and 15
- The Sinner’s Roast Festival – Friday June 20 to Sunday June 22
The Sinner’s Roast Festival will take over the market and spill out into Elizabeth Street. Warm up with plenty of smoking meat from fiery stations, brûléed treats and plenty of limited-edition winter food. There will be live music to enjoy and entertainment from NICA to see while you feast.
