Prahran Market is getting in on the Christmas action with jolly visits from Santa Claus. Enjoy some happy snaps with Santa, and bring your children and fur-babies along too. Santa will hang out in Market Square, and all you need to do is bring your own camera, as well as a gold coin to donate to a good cause. ‘Tis the season for giving after all!
Christmas at Prahran Market
Santa will be available for pet photos in Market Square from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday December 17. After that, he’ll be available for photos with the kids from 12pm to 2pm on Sunday December 18. There’s no need to book for these photo sessions.
In order to keep these photo opportunities accessible to everyone, visitors just need to donate what they can to take a photo, with a minimum gold coin donation. All proceeds will go towards the local charity, Uniting Prahran, which offers a range of services and programs to help people in the community experiencing crisis, and help them work towards a better future. Uniting Prahran will also have boxes at Prahran Market, so that you can donate non-perishable foods.
Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled for Santa while you shop around the market. In the days leading up till Christmas, he’ll be roaming around the Market aisles. See if you can spot him from 11am to 2pm, Tuesday December 20 to Saturday December 24.
