After a hiatus due to COVID, the annual Prosecco Festival is coming back to Melbourne. Enjoy a bubbly Saturday by popping over to Abbotsford Convent. Discover over 35 different types of prosecco, as well as other types of sparkling wine, cider and beer. The Prosecco Festival will take place on Saturday March 26. Bookings are available now.
Prosecco Festival
Head to this annual festival and meet some excellent growers, winemakers and importers of prosecco. Discover wines from both Italian and local producers. Then, go out onto the lawn and pair your wine with some delicious food, including oysters, cheeses, arancini and tiramisu. Australia’s original Prosecco and Spritz Bar, Van Di Vino, will also be there, so you can pick up an Aperol Spritz.
Each ticket comes with a festival program and a tasting glass for you to keep. You will also receive a tote bag that can hold up to two bottles of wine. The ticket also includes tastings of all wines and beer at the festival.
During the festival, you’ll taste Italian wines from places such as Rigoni, Bandini and Divici. You’ll also see familiar Australian names, like Brown Brothers and Cloak & Dagger. Making a fabulous appearance is Kylie Minogue’s Prosecco Rosé, which launched in Australia on Valentine’s Day.
If you upgrade your ticket and become a VIP, you’ll receive a 45 minute Prosecco Masterclass with Melissa Brauer. There, you’ll taste four different styles of prosecco, and pair it with antipasto snacks and cheese. You’ll also enjoy an hour of access in the VIP area, which has a grazing station.
