Cuddle up with adorable puppies when the viral experience, Puppy Yoga, comes to Melbourne. Feel the paw-sitivity and de-stress in the best way possible by surrounding yourself with curious and playful puppies. This feel-good activity has captured hearts around Sydney, and is making its debut in Melbourne this month. Try it for yourself from Friday December 6 to Wednesday December 11.
Puppy Yoga
Do a biiiig stretch and try your best to focus on yoga while surrounded by fluffy bundles of joy. Each class runs for one hour, and is made up for 45 minutes of yoga for all fitness levels and, more importantly, 15 minutes of puppy playtime. You don’t need yoga experience to try out this class. For the safety of the lil pup, each yoga exercise will take place on the ground, and be a mix of exercise, breathing and relaxation techniques. If the sweet puppies are just too distracting, that’s ok! You can take a cuddle break at any time.
These sessions are great for the humans (obviously) and they’re great for the dogs too! These pups will get lots of interaction during the classes, leading to better socialisation skills and confidence. The puppies will come from local trusted breeders, and each class will have different breeds depending on which pups are ready to socialise. If you feel like you’ve made a connection with one of them during the class, you can reach out to Puppy Yoga, who will put you in contact with the breeder.
Classes will take place at venues within 10km of Melbourne CBD, and tickets will be released one week prior to each event on their website. See what’s coming up here.
