With the Easter holidays coming up, you might be figuring out your next holiday destination. Thankfully, the travel voucher scheme is coming back tomorrow, so you can explore this great state without worrying too much about the cost. Vouchers will be available on a first come first served basis, and the scheme will go live at 2pm on Wednesday March 23. 140, 000 vouchers will be up for grabs.
Regional and Metropolitan Travel Voucher Scheme
If you spend at least $400 on eligible tourism services, such as accommodation, attractions and experiences, you’ll be able to access a $200 voucher. Vouchers are limited to one per household. To be eligible, travellers must stay in paid accommodation, such as hotels, motels, serviced apartments, caravan parks and campsites, for a minimum of two consecutive nights. The voucher will apply for travel between April 8 and May 27.
“Our state has some of the best destinations and attractions in the world,” said Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Martin Pakula. “We’re encouraging Victorians to discover something new and also support local businesses and jobs.”
This round of travel vouchers will be the fourth to date. So far, over $159 million has been spent on accommodation, tours and experiences across the state, due to the travel voucher program.

Other vouchers
While you’re travelling around Victoria, take advantage of the State-Wide Dining Vouchers. Similar to the Melbourne Money scheme, diners will receive a 25 per cent rebate if they spend between $40 to $500 on meals in regional Victoria, and in metropolitan suburbs outside of the CBD. This Dining Voucher program will only be available from Monday to Thursday. This program is expected to open on March 29.
Meanwhile, an additional $30 million in rebates will be allocated to entertainment around Victoria. So, while you’re travelling through the state, pop into a museum, gallery, cinema, conference or exhibition, or see a live music or theatre show. This program is also expected to open on March 29.
