Warm-up this winter with a hot mug of Milo cocktail.
When Melbourne’s Riverland Bar announced that they were serving up hot Milos again, we got excited because although our tastes have matured and our palates evolved, a hot Milo on a cold winter’s day is still a treat. And this hot Milo has been given a boozy upgrade so it’s perfect for big kids who like to go to bars.
Riverland Bar, the bar by the Yarra River behind Fed Square, is serving up their hot Milos with a dash of Havana Club rum, maple syrup and cream whisked into the Milo mixture that sounds absolutely luxe. But then, marshmallows are added on top to finish off this delectable creation and we have been won over. Not bad for a $15 cocktail.
For those that prefer a more traditional winter warmer, the waterside bar is also doing mulled wine, which you can give an extra kick of strength with a shot of shot of rum, brandy or whisky.
But that’s not all the fun that you can have at Riverland. On Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-6pm and Fridays to Sundays from 11-6pm, you can save yourself a seat with views by booking into two hours of free-flowing spritz and bottomless pizzas for just $49 per person.
And for the following few Fridays, Riverside have gotten caught up in the FOMO Friday initiative and is doing a two-for-one offer on Prosecco, Champagne and Moscato. All you need to do is head down between 4-9pm to get your weekend started early.
