Rooftop at QT is having a revamp. Ascend to this reinvigorated rooftop, and look forward to intimate alcoves with private booths, a private lounge that fits 40 people and an outdoor bar. This iconic space is serving up bold new cocktails and Mediterranean food, perfect for bites in the sunshine and after-dark. Rooftop at QT will reopen on Friday October 13.
Rooftop at QT
Soar up to level 11 at QT Melbourne, and take in the revitalised rooftop space. Soak in the sun and admire the city skyline during the day, while listening to chill music playlists. Then, when the sun sets, enjoy an electrifying atmosphere with a revolving line-up of late-night DJs.
The space now has booth seating, so that you can huddle up with your mates and enjoy table service. Or, pop into the private lounge for something a little more exclusive. Around the venue, you’ll find splashes of colour, with art and hand painted bespoke wallpaper from local artist Dwayne Hutton.
“The inspiration behind Rooftop at QT’s transformation lies in embracing the allure of rooftop culture, providing a venue for private moments and lively parties with friends you haven’t met yet,” said Kristen Foat, QT Melbourne’s General Manager. “The striking art installations and elevated booths offer a fresh perspective of the lively bar scene, embodying the essence of the new design, complemented with bold twists on nostalgic cocktail favourites and our flavourful new bar menu.”
Food and drink
The statement cocktail menu has been refreshed, with plenty of bold ingredients, fantastic flavours and Instagrammable moments. Drinks include the Son of Man, an elevated take of the classic Daiquiri, with a basil oil tincture for an aromatic drinking experience. You’ll also find a bold new take on the Espresso Martini with their Bulleit Punch, made from Bulleit Rye whiskey, Mr Black coffee liqueur, clarified cream, and orange and miso syrup. These two drinks are available as single serves, or you can share the fun with up to six people.
Outside of the signature cocktails, you’ll find classic cocktails like martinis, non-alcoholic concoctions, sparkling, wine and beer.
As for the food, you’ll find something to suit any appetite, from tasty snacks to generous share plates. Inspired by the Mediterranean, signature dishes include Snapper Cannoli with BBQ jalapeno, preserved lemon and crème fraiche; Fried Mortadella Sando with provolone, BBQ sauce and pepperoncini; and Lobster Cocktail with Southern Rock lobster, cognac-horseradish Marie Rose, endive and salmon pearls. There’s also a scrumptious Ice Cream Sandwich, made with shortbread and lemon-mascarpone ice cream, that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Rooftop at QT is open from 3pm to late on Monday to Wednesday, and 12pm to late on Thursday to Sunday. For more information, click here.
