2023 has just begun, but it feels like only a moment ago when we were deep in the middle of lockdown, and everyone was obsessed with the online, multiplayer game, Among Us. If you loved playing the game, and you’d like to experience something similar IRL, then you’ll definitely want to head to Testing Grounds at Queen Vic Market. There, you’ll find Saboteurs, an immersive, space-themed game played inside 11 converted shipping containers. Play with your friends, live on a Moon Base and eject any crewmates that seem sus. Bookings are available now.
Saboteurs is set within a 530 square metre space. Feel transported to a Moon Base, with plenty of features like a Decontamination Unit, Sleep Pods, a Medbay, Mining Tools and more. Live on the Moon Base, and complete your assigned tasks, like watering the plants, mining Moon Opals, tuning communications, diverting electrical systems to stabilise the shields and more. But, beware. There may be an imposter on the ship. Stop and eject them before they kill you and your crew.
This game is suitable for players aged eight and above, making them the perfect activity over the school holidays.
Bookings are essential, although walk-ups can book via mobile phone, subject to availability of course. The game lasts for 40 minutes, which covers 10 minutes of induction and 30 minutes of solid game time. There are 15 players in each session. You’ll need to book for 15 people if you want to play within your own family or friendship group. Otherwise, you’ll enjoy the game with other players, and meet some new friends (or enemies!) along the way.
