When you’re on the move and you need a sanga, Saul’s Sandwiches has got you covered. These icons of Melbourne’s sandwich scene, with stores in Hawthorn, Carnegie and Bentleigh, are opening a drive-thru in South Melbourne. Hop in the car and visit them for their grand opening weekend, which will last from Friday March 18 to Sunday March 20.
Saul’s Sandwiches Drive-Thru
Grab your hands on a hearty sandwich at this drive-thru sandwich and coffee shop. Inspired by New York delis and diners, these sandwiches are known for their hefty size and delicious flavour. Their smoked pastrami, for example, is stacked with manchego, slaw, pickles and more, while their eggplant cutlet comes with vegan mozzarella, broccoli rabe, chargrilled red peppers and vegan aioli.
Most of the familiar and beloved items from Saul’s Sandwiches can be found at the drive-thru, except for the toasties, which take a bit longer to cook. There will also be plenty of coffee, soda and juice to try if you’re feeling thirsty.
For their grand opening weekend, they’ll pump out sangas for just $10. Finish up on something sweet, with their custard puffs reduced to $4.
Of course, with the price of petrol these days, walk-thru is also available.
