What a year it’s turning out to be for Kendrick Lamar – first the Grammys, then a critically lauded Superbowl halftime show, and now, a date at Victoria Park in Ballarat, where he’ll headline Spilt Milk 2025. Taking place on December 6, 2025, the jet-setting music and art festival will once again hit up several cities across Australia – after Ballarat, the festival moves to Perth, Canberra, and Gold Coast – but Victoria’s event is kicking things off. Here’s your primer for Spilt Milk 2025!
What’s the Spilt Milk festival lineup for 2025?
Known for reeling in big names, this year’s Spilt Milk lineup is, by their own admission, ‘insane’. That all starts with the name at the top of the bill; after heading across the northern hemisphere with SZA for the summertime Grand National Tour, Kendrick Lamar will touch down in Australia to headline the festival. Joining him, and no doubt bringing that Anxiety, is Doechii. After a blistering rise to the top of the charts and with a Grammy Award back at home, she’ll hyping up the crowds with the likes of her megahit ‘DENIAL IS A RIVER’.
Rounding off the headliners are ‘the High Priestess of Hard Techno’, Sara Landry, who’s known for her hard-hitting techno sets, and musician and actor Dominic Fike, who’s done the rare doubling of appearing on Euphoria and collaborating with Sir Paul McCartney. Spilt Milk’s special guest this year is rap legend ScHoolboy Q, boasting a critically acclaimed discography and numerous collabs with rap heavyweights – and with both him and Lamar on the same bill, we’d put good money on ‘Collard Greens’ getting a run out this December.
Other acts you can expect to see include talented Australian acts like Baby J, Ennaria, and Club Angel, along with big international names such as Coachella breakout d4vd, rising pop act Nessa Barrett, Sudan’s techno titan Skin on Skin, and indie rock darling sombr. You’ll find even more brilliant acts across the festival stages, and aside from the music, Spilt Milk will champion art, food, and drink once again.
2025’s art exhibitions take a socially conscious angle, with Spilt Milk featuring work from Studio A – who empower artists with disabilities – and the Create Connect Art initiative, who hold open studio sessions for all. Dutch artist Jerry-Lee Bosmans, will also be displaying a piece. Meanwhile, the return of festival favourites like singalong shack Guilty Pleasures, the Howdy Howdy country bar, and part bus Bus Da Move have already been confirmed. All in all, you can expect one hell of a day out!
When are Split Milk tickets going on sale?
You’d best round up your festival buddies fast; general sale tickets for Spilt Milk are available from Friday, May 9. There’s a presale starting the day before, including for Vodafone customers, and to sign up for the presale event, you’ll want to head to the festival website.
Where else is the festival going?
There’s no rest after the final encore at Victoria Park – the day after, Spilt Milk heads to Claremont Showground in Perth for its only Western Australia stop. The following weekend, you’ll find it back east, at Exhibition Park in Canberra on Saturday, December 13, and Gold Coast Sports Precinct on Sunday, December 14.
