Steve McCurry is an established contemporary photographer whose work has been featured on the front cover of National Geographic and has won countless international awards. He is probably most famous for his iconic photograph “Afghan Girl” which has become one of the most recognizable images in history. Now, in this new exhibition you will be able to see over 100 of his photographs from all around the world, each one telling a unique and powerful story.
From the streets of India to the deserts of Afghanistan, McCurry’s photographs will transport you to another time and place, and allow you to experience the beauty and complexity of the world in a whole new way. Through his lens, we are given a glimpse into the lives of individuals whose stories might otherwise go untold.
The exhibition will include audio descriptions from 42 selected images to hear the story behind the photos, in Steve McCurry’s own words. You will also be able to watch Steve McCurry testify about his life and experiences as a photographer in a documentary that will be screened at the venue.
