Who Is Steve McCurry?
Steve McCurry is an American photographer whose work has been celebrated around the world, during his 40 year career. He has received numerous international photography awards, including the Robert Capa Gold Medal and the National Press Photographers Award, and is seen as one of the world’s most prolific contemporary photographers.
While you might not be familiar with his name, you are sure to have seen his images, his iconic photograph “Afghan Girl”, has become one of the most recognisable images in history. Steve McCurry’s work is known for capturing conflicts, vanishing cultures, ancient traditions, and contemporary culture, always focusing on showing the human experience in all its complexity.

Now in this new exhibition you can view one of the most complete retrospectives of McCurry’s career, showcasing over 100 large-format photographs.
