The lovely Strawberry & Cherry Festival is returning to Bacchus Marsh for the first time since 2019. The festival celebrates the start of the strawberry and cherry season, with market stalls, food trucks, carnival rides, entertainment and more. The festivities will kick off on Friday November 18, and end on Sunday November 20.
Strawberry & Cherry Festival
At just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne CBD, this festival is the perfect day out, and fun for the whole family. The kids will have a blast with face painting, an animal farm, carnival rides and show bags. Meanwhile, festival goers can keep their energy up with tasty bites like souvlaki, paella, jam doughnuts and fairy floss.
On both Saturday and Sunday, the main street will be lined up with over 150 market stalls. Get your Christmas shopping done early at this popular Street Market. There will also be freshly picked strawberries and cherries for sale. The local public hall will also have a makers market, and the Bacchus Marsh CWA (Country Women Australia) will be serving up tasty tea and scones.
A spectacular fireworks display will light up the sky on Saturday night, starting at approximately 9:30pm.
This festival is free to attend, and while you’re in the area, you’re welcome to visit the nearby farms, Naturipe Fruits and Paynes Orchards, for some strawberry and cherry picking. You will need to check the websites of the individual farms for picking fees and opening hours.
