5 Melbourne Locales To Get Your Taco Fix On Taco Tuesday

There’s no better day to eat a taco than on a Tuesday.

And though I don’t know why—aside from the alliteration, the syllable count or the similarity in sound of Tues and twos—I don’t really care because tacos are cheaper on Tuesdays.

And if you’re in the mood for tacos on a Tuesday, then all you’ve got to do is head to one of these fine taco establishments to get your fix. (Featured image: Krisztian Tabori)

1. Si Señorita Bar, Fitzroy

From 5pm you can eat as many tacos as you can at Si Señorita Bar for $35 per person. That’s right, all you can eat tacos for $35. Winning!

Find Si Señorita Bar at 312 Brunswick Street

2. El Sabor, North Melbourne

Some places pair tacos with Margaritas, but at El Sabor, they pair their Taco Tuesday offering with a Corona because what says Mexican more than a Corona? Owned and run by Mexico City native, Cesar Duran, this little cantina will serve you up two tacos and a corona for $12.

Find El Sabor at 500 Victoria Street

3. The Happy Mexican, Abbotsford

The special Taco Tuesday offer at The Happy Mexican is quite simple—all tacos are half price! From the eight on offer, two are vegan, and our favourite has to be the Lengua although it’s difficult to go past the Al Pastor.

Find The Happy Mexican at 108 Hoddle Street

4. El Camino Cantina, Fitzroy

With every drink purchase at El Camino Cantina, you can order up to five tacos from the $2 range. Or, you can step your taco game up and select from the best-selling Cadillac menu where the tacos are a steal at $4. Either way you go, you’re going to come out winning at El Camino Cantina. Our go-to is the Beer-Battered Barramundi.

Find El Camino Cantina at 222 Brunswick Street

5. The Imperial, South Yarra

The Imperial might not shout Mexican, but their food is good and their Taco Tuesday offer of bottomless tacos for $35 is hard-pressed to beat despite the 90-minute time limit. However, you do get tortilla chips, guac and fries thrown in and an almost irresistible temptation of $20 margarita jugs. Are you tempted?
