An epic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exhibition has come to Melbourne in celebration of the iconic franchise’s 40th anniversary, and it’s proven so popular that more dates have now been added to the run. Feel transported to New York and journey through the history of this beloved franchise as you check out five immersive galleries, filled with artwork, collectibles, arcade games, and more! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Heroes in a Half Shell Exhibition is now showing at The District Docklands, and will be open every day except public holidays until January 31, 2025.

The family-friendly experience invites you to follow the evolution of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, from their comic book origins to their place in pop culture today. The experience has been curated by Eddie Zammit, with assistance from projection artist Rose Staff, and is present by Paramount. Having arrived in November, the exhibition has seen overwhelming demand from Turtles fans around Melbourne, leading to the new extension through the summer.
Visitors will discover the story of the TMNT across five individual galleries; for instance, you can step into a Projection Gallery, and see an immersive show that will feature archival footage, character exploration and fan perspectives over at least 30 minutes. Then, pop into the Art Gallery and see 40 new artworks from 20 creatives. These pieces will celebrate the enduring cultural legacy of TMNT in a skate-themed display space.
You’ll also find a Vintage Memorabilia Gallery, filled with collectibles like original action figures. Play games from the 1980s and ’90s in the Arcade Zone, and check out the newest console release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed from Outright Games. Finally, don’t miss the gift shop, which is styled as a New York pizzeria and features a rotating selection of limited-edition prints, stickers, T-shirts and toys.
Speaking on the occasion of the exhibition’s extension, Zammit said “We are thrilled by the incredible response from fans of all ages. Extending the exhibition gives everyone a chance to relive the nostalgia, discover rare memorabilia, and experience the magic of the Turtles in a whole new way.” If you’d like to be amongst the numerous fans who’ve enjoyed this winning blend of nostalgia and awesomeness, you’ll want to book your tickets today.
